After sleeping soundly, we woke early yet again to make the most of our last few hours in Western Australia. Being suitably impressed with Scarborough Beach the night before, we headed back to the same area for breakfast and a quick swim.
For breakfast, we chose to dine at The Wild Fig. As we had come to expect in WA, they had excellent food and friendly service. From here, we moved on to the beach for a quick dip. While the water was fresh, Tim ventured in for one final paddle in the Indian Ocean. The water was absolutely stunning – completely flat and it looked just like glass.
After half an hour at the beach, we drove back to the hotel, packed our gear for the final time and checked out of our accommodation. We dropped our trusty hire car back without a fuss and caught an Uber to the airport. We were a bit early so we lounged around and had a drink and bite to eat before flying home.
Overall, this was an absolutely AMAZING holiday that ranks highly as one of our favourites of all time. There was so much to do and see in this beautiful part of the world, and we can highly recommend a visit. We are looking forward to visiting this spectacular part of the world again one day in the near future!
